The department of English Education trains students to become English teachers to young Korean students. They will be familiarized with the cultural and literary arts of various English speaking countries as well as develop their skills so as to succeed in our global village.

This department cultivates excellent social studies teachers and/or social education specialists who have the knowledge of integrated social science and exceptional teaching ability. They are needed in the age of globalization, information and decentralization.

Through agricultural education, the department develops human nature and teaches theoretical knowledge related to plant resources, animal resources, food processing etc. Graduates have the option of becoming teachers who can serve themselves in developing agricultural education and agricultural villages.

The department of mathematics education educates students to become teachers of mathematics. It not only focuses on providing a higher level of specialization, but provides a foundation of educational duty in the field of mathematics. It promotes the use of reason as well as the capability of using mathematics as a tool in the area of computer programing in mathematics education.

The goal of this department is to provide pre-service teachers ( who will be professional teachers) with specific skills and abilities that are indispensible for preparing middle or highschool students for the information society. We provide computer education majors with a theoretical foundation as well as a practical foundation for developing learning and teaching techniques occurring in computer technology and systems. Another feature of our department includes several interdisciplinary courses that are suitable for studying computer scientific curriculum and instruction.

The department of environmental education aims to train students as teachers of environmental education in middle or highschool. For this purpose, the course covers advanced knowledge of environmental sciences and pollution problems to improve our understanding of environmental issues needed for social demand. It also includes practical programs for planning, progress and evaluation of environmental education.

The department of education intends to produce educational specialists who will devote themselves to education-related fields. Students are provided with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of education by studying history, philosophy, psychology, sociology and the public administration of education.
